I am a photographer, storyteller, and mom who believes your memories deserve more than just a spot on your phone.
Photography, to me, is about connection, emotion, and legacy — the quiet in-between moments, the real laughter, the gentle chaos, and the love that shows up in a thousand little ways. I don’t just take photos — I create a space where you can be fully present, feel comfortable, and trust that your story is being documented with intention, care, and heart.
When you invest in working with me, you’re investing in an experience that’s personal, meaningful, and deeply rooted in authenticity — because these moments become the memories your family carries forever.
I’m here as a resource far beyond the day of — whether you’re looking for styling guidance for your portrait session, location recommendations, or help planning a session that feels natural and effortless for your family.
Even the most beautifully simple sessions have moving pieces, and my role is to bring not just a camera, but experience, calm, and thoughtful guidance. From preparation to delivery, I create a seamless, stress-free experience so you can be fully present, deeply connected, and confident that your memories are being captured with care, intention, and artistry.
session ADVICE
02
After photographing hundreds of sessions over the years, I’ve found that I'm not the perfect fit for everyone. That’s why this process begins with a conversation. I want to hear everything—what you are looking for, your vision and what you want captured the most.
We’ll get to know one another, talk about the details, answer any questions you might have about working with me and figure out if we’re the best fit for each other.
let's CONNECT
01
Every session begins with a thoughtfully chosen setting. I guide families in selecting locations that feel natural, meaningful, and timeless — but most importantly, places that feel like you.
Your location should reflect your story, your season, and the connection you share, creating imagery that feels authentic, elevated, and deeply personal.
03
I will check-in the day before a session to confirm details and just to check in. A successful session starts with thoughtful preparation. Choose outfits that are cohesive, comfortable, and timeless — and be sure to try them on and have them ready at least a week in advance to avoid last-minute wardrobe issues. Keep hair, makeup, and accessories simple and natural, and arrive well-rested and relaxed. And most importantly just remember to have fun. This will be great - I promise!
session PREP
04
On the day of your session, focus on connection and presence — let the moments unfold naturally and enjoy being together.
Arrive a few moments early, be well-rested and relaxed, and bring any final outfit touches, snacks, or comfort items for little ones. I’ll guide you through poses, prompts, and flow, so all you need to do is show up, have fun, and trust the process — the best moments happen when everyone feels calm, comfortable, and fully in the moment.
THE DAY is here!

You can expect your PROOF gallery to be delivered via an online gallery within one week if not sooner. The final gallery will be delivered between two to three weeks after you choose your images depending on the season. At that time, I'll also send over details about preserving your images through prints and albums.
I hope the relationship doesn't end after I deliver your photographs. I want to hear about the adventures and document your milestones and seasons.

"We will continue to use her moving forward! She is so talented at photography and also wonderful to work with especially with a little one who needed a lot of entertaining to look at the camera and patience from her when he didn't want to cooperate. She also provided us with proofs and the final gallery in a super quick turnaround.”

The best locations are often meaningful to my clients or somewhere they have been wanting a session at; however, I am also happy to make recommendations. From New York City to beaches. To fields and college campuses, the options for session locations are endless! I am willing to travel where ever you want to take me.
Soft sand, crashing waves, and golden light make the beach the perfect spot for relaxed, playful Senior and family moments.
Sunrise on the Brooklyn Bridge, the city felt quiet and golden — just the two of them, the soft light, and the rhythm of the morning moving around them. It was exciting, timeless, freezing and full of that unmistakable New York magic that turns a simple moment into something unforgettable.
On a private farm, surrounded by open fields and quiet skies. Plenty of space and beautifully unhurried. It was simple, soulful, and full of warmth — a timeless story unfolding in a place that felt just right.
Historic streets, charming waterfront views, and colorful buildings create a vibrant, classic backdrop perfect for family memories.
Moody shadows, urban lines, and unexpected angles give your session a cool, contemporary edge.

Celebrate your family in every season! Each time of year brings unique colors, moods, and textures to make your photos unforgettable.
Spring: Fresh blooms, soft light, and vibrant greenery set a cheerful, airy scene. Tip: Coordinate light pastels or floral patterns to complement the season.
Summer: Golden sunsets, beach days, and long, sunny afternoons create playful, warm memories.
Fall: Rich foliage, cozy layers, and warm tones make for classic, timeless portraits. Tip: Bring a few extra layers or scarves for texture and movement.
Winter: Crisp air, soft light, and seasonal décor bring a magical, intimate feel. Tip: Keep everyone cozy with hats, gloves, and coordinating warm tones to stay comfortable.
Picking the right season often comes down to your kids’ ages and your family’s schedule. Little ones with early bedtimes do best in winter or spring when sunsets happen before they’re ready for pajamas. Older kids and teens? Summer sessions in July or August work around school, sports, and busy weekends, or early fall gives gorgeous light without cutting into homework time and extracurriculars on the weekend.

FAVORITE SEASON
I am a big believers that images aren’t meant to solely exist in a digital space. One day, most likely, Instagram will be gone, your phone will be replaced and images that you can physically hold in your hand will be the best way to remember those precious moments we captured.
Think about this fact: twenty years ago, if I had delivered you digital images, they would have been on a disk. With the fast updates to technology, you would have no way to access those images today. Even the online galleries we deliver will eventually fade away. And mine do expire (so back them up).
One of the best ways to make your memories last is by ordering an album. These high quality professionally designed albums come in a variety of linen & leather colors. They’re modern, lay perfectly flat and look incredible on a coffee table.
THE PERFECT WAY TO REMEMBER this season
After I deliver your gallery, I work with you to order prints and design an album that will become an heirloom for your family.
Albums must be prepaid before design begins and typically take between 4 to 6 weeks to complete (including revisions).
With the exception of printing errors, all albums are non-returnable. Albums may be ordered anytime before or after the wedding day. The holiday deadline for beginning an order is November 1st. These prices can change depending on the presses price changes and product changes.
Linen: $450 each for Linen
Leather: $700 each
Additional 2-page Spread: $40 each
(8x8, 20 pages)
DUPLICATE ALBUMS
Linen: $950 for Linen
Leather: $1150
Additional 2-page Spread: $50

When will we receive our photos?
Within One day to one week you will receive a proof gallery. Once you make your selections your final edited gallery will be sent in two to three weeks depending on the season. Rush galleries can be requested.
The gallery is also set up to make ordering prints, canvases and other keepsakes as easy as turning on a Roomba to clean your floors. No worrying about tricky things like color correction, DPI and image format.
When do you charge travel fees?
I typically add travel fees to any session outside of a 40 mile radius from our home in White Hall, Maryland. Fees vary depending on location so ask us for more details. If it is a beach session it will be anything 40 miles outside of Ocean City.
What is a proof gallery? And can that be purchased?
After your session, you’ll receive a private online proof gallery with all your images. They are unedited. Keep an open mind while looking- I will add my magic later. Once you’ve chosen your favorites, I will professionally edit them and deliver your final images for you to enjoy and share.
Yes, you can for a fee of $165. The proof gallery is unedited thought. Only the images for your final gallery are edited.
We love your work and want to book. What's the next step?
Fantastic! To reserve your date, I will need a completed contract and if a mini session payment is due in full at time of booking. If it is a full session I need a deposit but can create a payment plan for you. The remaining balance will be due 1 day before the session.
Thank you so much for considering me to capture your memories! If you’re interested in working with me, the next step is to set up a time to chat! You can reach me directly at shannonmphoto1@gmail.com
