I believe in real moments and chasing sunsets — in the kind of images that capture the quiet joy found in the simplest seconds together. The in-between glances. The deep breaths. The laughter that sneaks up on you. I believe in photographs that ache to be printed, placed in heirloom frames, and lived with on your walls for generations.
My journey began with a film camera. With only a limited number of frames on each roll, I learned to slow down, to observe, and to truly see — the light, the emotion, the connection, the fleeting beauty that deserves to be preserved. That foundation still guides everything I create today. Every time I lift my camera, my goal is the same: to tell your story honestly and beautifully — capturing images that feel as timeless as they are emotional, honoring both the love in front of my lens and the world that surrounds it.

After photographing weddings over the past decade, I’ve found that I'm not the perfect fit for every couple. That’s why this process begins with a conversation. I want to hear everything—how you met, funny first date stories, and how you got engaged.
We’ll get to know one another, talk about the details of your day, answer any questions you might have about working with me and figure out if we’re the best fit for each other.

I sessions for a few reasons. Not only do they allow you to get comfortable in front of the camera, they also give you the opportunity to showcase your personalities in a more casual setting that is significant to the two of you.
Engagement sessions can take place anywhere from immediately following a proposal to just a few days before the wedding. I normally plan sessions based on a particular “look” a couple has in mind, the beach for example, or based on schedules.

I will check-in about two months before the wedding to start chatting about timeline specifics, special details, family formal shot lists, special traditions and anything else I should know about your big day. After we talk I will send you a copy of the shot list.
While I normally don't send a questionnaire until closer to the wedding, please don't hesitate to let me know if you have questions during the planning process!

It's finally here! The day the two of you say "I Do" and dance the night away surrounded by your family and friends.
Just know how deeply honored and excited I am to celebrate alongside you and capture your story. Your wedding day doesn’t need to be flawless to be perfect. Even if every detail doesn’t unfold exactly as planned, it will still be beautiful — because it’s yours. Your love. Your story. Your once-in-a-lifetime day.

You can expect your photos to be delivered via an online gallery within about six weeks of your wedding. At that time, I'll also send over details about preserving your images through prints and albums.
I hope the relationship doesn't end after I deliver your photographs. I want to hear about the adventures of married life. And if you decide to grow your family, I'd love to document that.

The best engagement session locations are often meaningful to my individual couples; however, I am also happy to make recommendations. From New York City to beaches to fields and college campuses, the options for session locations are endless!

Everything you need to know about engagement sessions
WARDROBE styling make the PHOTOS
All of our sessions include a complimentary engagement session. It takes time for most couples to warm up to being photographed and understand how I pose. Timelines can be pretty tight on weddings days and 30 minutes may be all we have for portraits - which is why I’ve found that wedding day portraits turn out so much better when couples do engagement sessions ahead of time.
Sessions also allow you to showcase your personalities in a more casual setting that is significant to the two of you (and even include pets!) While they’re great for save-the-dates, I’ve taken engagement photos anywhere from 18 months in advance to a few days before the wedding.

I am a big believers that images aren’t meant to solely exist in a digital space. One day, most likely, Instagram will be gone, your phone will be replaced and images that you can physically hold in your hand will be the best way to remember those precious moments we captured.
Think about this fact: twenty years ago, if I had delivered you digital images, they would have been on a disk. With the fast updates to technology, you would have no way to access those images today. Even the online galleries we deliver will eventually fade away. And mine do expire (so back them up).
One of the best ways to make your memories last is by ordering an album. These high quality professionally designed albums come in a variety of linen & leather colors. These aren’t the same albums your parents' wedding photos came in. They’re modern, lay perfectly flat and look incredible on a coffee table.

After I deliver your gallery, I work with you to order prints and design an album that will become an heirloom for your family.
Albums must be prepaid before design begins and typically take between 4 to 6 weeks to complete (including revisions).
With the exception of printing errors, all albums are non-returnable. Albums may be ordered anytime before or after the wedding day. The holiday deadline for beginning an order is November 1st. These prices can change depending on the presses price changes and product changes.

QUESTIONS
When will we receive our photos?
Within six to eight weeks, you'll receive a link to a digital gallery that will allow you to download high resolution images.
The gallery is also set up to make ordering prints, canvases and other keepsakes as easy as turning on a Roomba to clean your floors. No worrying about tricky things like color correction, DPI and image format.
When do you charge travel fees?
I typically add travel fees on to any wedding outside of a 60 mile radius from our home in White Hall, Maryland. Fees vary depending on location so ask us for more details.
How many photos are typically included and can we print the photos ourselves?
Galleries typically include anywhere between 500 and 3,000 photos. The exact amount varies from wedding to wedding. Your online gallery will come loaded with fullyedited high resolution images you can print anywhere. You’re also welcome to share your wedding photos on social media and as always I love a tag.
We love your work and want to book. What's the next step?
Fantastic! To reserve your wedding date, I will need a completed contract and a 30% non-refundable deposit. If you don’t have a contract yet, just let me know and I will send one over! The remaining balance will be due 1 week before the wedding. I can also make a custom payment plan to fit your needs and to pay little by little.
